The 26th edition of the summit, a premier Canada-centric industry event, is expected to offer a more extensive conference agenda than ever before. SBC, a well-known educational and industry conference content provider for attendees, has taken over the management.
The event is scheduled at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from June 13-15, 2023. It will examine the potential for growth in Canada’s gaming sector. Over 150 industry experts from Canada will be speaking, including prominent speakers like Aubrey Levy and Cassie Brickman, Dale Hooper (Kris Abbott), Megan Chayka), Owen Welsh, Scott Vanderwel, and Scott Woodgate. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insight from different sectors of the industry.
Rasmus Sojmark (CEO & Founder, SBC) says the agenda is compelling because it represents the current state of Canada’s industry and draws on lessons from the past year and more mature markets. The summit will also explore the details of other provinces outside of Ontario. That will provide valuable insight into modernizing the sector and prioritizing responsible practices.
Each track will focus on a different aspect of the iGaming sector. The ‘Leaders’ and ‘Land-based’ trails will explore iGaming innovation in Canada, share Ontario regulator insights, discuss expansion opportunities for the provinces, and discuss the convergence between land-based, lottery, and iGaming experiences.
Roundtable discussions will be held in the Growth and Leadership track to discuss regulatory and market developments in different Canadian provinces. The competition’ First Pitch’ will also be featured. Topics include international investment, social responsibility, ESG, and collaboration with lotteries and Crown Corporations.
The “Sports Betting Track” will discuss various topics, including the Canadian provincial rollout of betting on sports, the collaborations between operators, and regulatory bodies, integrity in betting on sports, partnerships between Canadian leagues and teams, innovation in content, and the possible growth of esports betting.
The ‘Affiliates & advertising’ track will focus on how affiliates can launch successfully in Canada’s iGaming market. It will also discuss Canadian audience preferences. This track will provide marketing and regulatory guidance and a platform for discussing ways to maximize customer conversions, use customer data, and form responsible partnerships. It will also offer insights into Canada’s market through comparisons to mature European markets.
The ‘Payments & Compliance Track Panels will discuss customer choice when adopting cashless systems and how to work with investors and financial institutions, payment technology’s role in customer acquisition and loyalty, modernizing anti-money laundering regulations and alternative currencies, cybersecurity, and other currencies.
